Install Adya & Scan GSuite

Adya can be installed two ways – from (1) GSuite marketplace or (2) directly from the Adya app website (https://app.adya.io/).

Installation from the GSuite marketplace is the preferred route as it yields complete visibility to the administrator of all documents in the organization.

Both install modes are discussed below.

Install Adya from GSuite Marketplace

We encourage this mode of install as it yields complete visibility to the administrator. When installing from marketplace, we use a “service account” that enables administrators to get visibility into documents that are otherwise hidden from them.

1. Go to GSuite marketplace – and search for “Adya” to be led to the Adya page on the marketplace

2. Make sure you sign is as a GSuite administrator for your organization

3. Click on “Install”

4. Google will display a message that the application will be installed domain wide. Click “Continue”

5. Google will display a screen asking you for permission for access to your domain data. Click “Accept” to continue.

6. This will install Adya for all users in the domain. Continue with the rest of the screens and click “DONE”

7. Click on “Launch” to be taken to the Adya application

After installation the “Install” button will change to “Launch”. Click “Launch” to be taken to the Adya application.

8. Login with your credentials

9. Click on “Sign in with Google” and enter your credentials. Next you can either click on “Sample Dataset” to use a sample data set to familiarize yourself with the features. Or connect to your GSuite. The scan will start and will take time to scan the documents (the time taken will be dependent on the number of documents in the organization). After the scan is complete, “Go To Dashboard”

Install from Adya Website

This mode of install has limitations. Only the documents owned by the user will be visible – even if the user is an administrator. To get complete visibility of all documents that are otherwise hidden from them, an administrator should install from GSuite marketplace.

1. Go to https://app.adya.io/

2. Click on “Sign in with Google” and enter your credentials. Next you can either click on “Sample Dataset” to use a sample data set to familiarize yourself with the features. Or connect to your GSuite. When you connect to your GSuite, Google asks for permissions to access your metadata. At this stage, we only require read only access to your metadata.

3. The scan will start and will take time to scan the documents (the time taken will be dependent on the number of documents in the organization). After the scan is complete, “Go To Dashboard”
